Samantha Reynolds is an arts administrator based in Chicago, IL. In 2023, she founded Re/Match, a non-profit centered on advocacy for Chicago visual artists. This year, the organization distributed $50,000 in unrestricted funds to Chicago artists and facilitated public programming throughout the year. She was recently featured as a part of Newcity Magazine’s 2024 Art 50. In addition to Re/Match, she works as a Curator for Johalla Projects, an art consultancy group based in Chicago with national clients.
From 2021 - 2023, she managed the University Club of Chicago’s permanent art collection and exhibition series. Prior to returning to Chicago, she served as the Art Programs Director for Root Division, a visual art non-profit in San Francisco, CA. She has extensive experience facilitating speaker programs, fundraisers, and other special events. She received a BA in Art History from Boston College and MA in Arts Administration & Policy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Her process of working is centered on supporting emerging and mid-career visual artists, especially artists who operate outside of traditional art markets and structures.
